Hello! My name is Anna Gebauer.  As Founder of  My Niche Sensory Learning,  my vision has been to create a truly unique  and superior literacy enhancement and academic enrichment offering  for children and teens in Vancouver.  

As an experienced literacy and academic enrichment instructor, and a mum of three children, I believe that all children possess unique gifts, all children have the capacity to learn, and all children can come to love learning if they receive inspired and individually tailored instruction geared specifically for them.  

I know first hand how difficult learning can be for some children and I have also seen how beneficial the multi-sensory approach is when teaching phonics to young students. This is what motivated me to complete the Orton Gillingham Teacher Training Course and I bring this experience with me when working with all students.

I also bring my academic background in English Literature, History, and Art History to all my students and classes. I am a professional writer, and notably, spent over a decade as an award winning broadcast television and radio  journalist reporting for local and national audiences, hosting live broadcasts, and conducting interviews with high-profile newsmakers.  

My Niche Sensory Learning students receive unparalleled literacy instruction and enrichment that focuses on all three facets of true literacy -- reading , writing, and oral expression.
